This is the ever-so nicely designed widget on the Cineworld site. Let’s look at the colour scheme:
Dark blue = already shown
Light blue = hmm, not sure
Dark red = “Delux” (no way of working out what that means)
Light red = “Digital” (again, no idea what that means)
Putting aside the fact that so little information is given, what about the colour scheme? Can there be a more moronic scheme than two blues and two reds. These are the very colours that colour-blind people struggle with and it’s not always easy for people with normal eyesight to differentiate between them on some monitors.
Why choose these colours? Because they are the corporate palette. This is an example of how design can completely miss the point. By sticking to the corporate palette they’ve made the widget next to useless. Moronic.
Aside from sorting out the colour scheme, they might want to think about removing fully-booked performances from the list. Otherwise, you only find out that a performance is fully-booked (as I did) after you’ve completed all the details including your credit card. This means that the process of finding a performance with availability is a trial and error process of repeating entering that information until the system finally accepts your details!

How do. Did you find out the answer to what red for digital meant?
