I installed the “Create and Print” plugin as part of a website I was evaluating. This had the unfortunate effect of making Firefox crash as soon as it started up. This made the instructions on the Firefox support site redundant as they all required me to disable the application through Firefox itself which, of course, I couldn’t do as it was crashing!
Here’s how to do it.
- Find your Profile by typing %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ into Vista’s start box or via the Run dialog in XP
- Click on it to go to the folder containing your profile
- Find the extensions subfolder and open it
- Find the folder containing the plugin you want to eliminate and either rename it or delete it
